Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is a romantic comedy-drama film released in 2008. It is based on the novel of the same name by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. The film was directed by Peter Sollett and stars Michael Cera as Nick and Kat Dennings as Norah.

The movie is set in New York City and begins with Nick's band, The Jerk Offs, performing at a club. While Nick is still heartbroken over his recent breakup with his ex-girlfriend Tris, he is coerced into pretending to be Tris' boyfriend when she shows up at the club with her new boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Norah is also at the club with her own agenda: to find her friend Caroline who has gone missing. When Norah meets Nick, she sees an opportunity to get back at her ex-boyfriend by pretending to be with Nick, who she knows is Tris' ex-boyfriend.

As Nick and Norah search for Caroline, they gradually get to know each other and develop feelings for each other. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including confrontations with Tris and her boyfriend, getting kicked out of a concert, and dealing with Caroline's drunken antics.

The film is also accompanied by a soundtrack featuring various indie rock bands that Nick and Norah listen to throughout their adventure. The music plays a significant role in the film, with Nick and Norah bonding over their shared love of music.

When they finally find Caroline, who has gone missing in the city, they share a kiss and decide to start a relationship without any of the pretense or games they were playing earlier in the evening. The movie ends with them driving into the sunrise while singing along to a song by one of their favorite bands.
