New York Minute is a 2004 American teen comedy film directed by Dennie Gordon and written by Emily Fox and Adam Cooper. It stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as Jane and Roxy Ryan, respectively, as well as Eugene Levy, Jared Padalecki, Andy Richter, Darrell Hammond, and Riley Smith.

The movie follows the adventures of the Ryan twins as they navigate New York City for one day. Jane is a high-achieving student who is determined to win a prestigious scholarship for college. Roxy, on the other hand, is a rebellious teenager who dreams of being a rock star and constantly rebels against her strict school attendance officer.

As Jane heads to her interview for the scholarship, Roxy goes to a music video audition without permission, and accidentally steps into a smuggling operation involving a music box filled with priceless microchips. They soon find themselves on the run from a truant officer who is determined to catch Roxy and bring her back to school, as well as a dangerous criminal who is trying to retrieve the music box.

Throughout their wild and crazy day in the city, the girls bicker and fight, but also come to understand and appreciate each other's strengths. With the help of some hunky guys they meet along the way, such as Jane's crush Jim, the twins eventually save the day and learn the importance of sisterhood and teamwork.

New York Minute received mixed reviews from critics, but was a box office success. It was the last film to feature Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in a joint role, as they retired from acting shortly after its release.
