Nekromantik is a german horror film directed by Jรถrg Buttgereit in 1987. The movie follows Rob Schmadtke, a street sweeper who collects the corpses of fatal accident victims from the city streets. Rob is fascinated by death and has a macabre obsession with decomposing bodies, which he shares with his girlfriend, Betty.
One day, Rob brings home an entire corpse to indulge in necrophilia with Betty. The two engage in graphic and disturbing sexual acts with the corpse, which they keep in their apartment. As their obsession with the corpse grows, Rob becomes increasingly jealous of the dead body, believing that Betty is more sexually attracted to it than to him.
