After the tragic accident that kills his fiancée, Wilmont (played by Eric Roberts) is unable to move on with his life. His grief consumes him, and he finds himself struggling to connect with the living. Desperate for a change, he takes a job at Dobbs Funeral Home, hoping that the work will help him gain some perspective and sense of purpose.
At the funeral home, Wilmont receives unexpected guidance from the deceased. As he prepares their bodies for burial, the spirits linger around him, offering advice and insight into his situation. Though he is at first reluctant to take their advice, he begins to realize that these voices from beyond the grave might be the key to his emotional healing.
