Britt is a college student who takes on babysitting gigs as a way to make extra money. On Halloween Eve, she agrees to watch over three young children: Tommy, Emily, and Alex. As the night progresses, strange things start to happen in the house. The kids begin to see creepy shadows and hear strange noises.
Suddenly, a masked man enters the house. He introduces himself as Abner Honeywell, the son of B-movie horror legend "Natty Knocks". Abner reveals that his father's films were all based on real-life murders that Natty committed, and that Abner has now taken on his father's mantle as a serial killer.
Britt and the kids try to escape, but find themselves trapped in the house with Abner. As the night goes on, Abner becomes more and more unhinged, reenacting scenes from his father's movies on the terrified children. Britt must use all her wits and strength to protect the children and survive until dawn, while also uncovering the dark secrets of Natty Knocks and his family.
