The movie Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger! begins with David Tennant's character Mr. Peterson taking over as a new teacher at St. Bernadette's School, where he meets a colorful group of students who are excited to participate in the National 'Song for Christmas' Competition. The competition requires all schools in the country to put on a Christmas musical with original songs.

When St. Bernadette's is initially rejected from the competition due to their lack of creativity, Mr. Peterson's pregnant wife, Sarah (played by Joanna Page), suggests that they come up with their own unique Christmas story featuring a donkey. The school is once again accepted into the competition, and they embark on an epic road trip to Wales, where the finals will take place.

Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including a group of mischievous boy scouts and a feisty donkey who becomes a vital part of their performance. Mr. Peterson also struggles with his own insecurities as a teacher and husband, but is forced to confront them and become a hero in order to save the day.

The movie features a number of original songs, as well as comedic performances from a talented cast of child actors. It is a heartwarming and fun-filled holiday movie that is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
