In the midst of the chaos, the mischievous fairy Puck is sent on a mission by Oberon to enchant the wrong lovers, causing them to fall in love with the wrong people and triggering hilarious and dramatic consequences.
The play also features a group of amateur actors, or mechanicals, who are rehearsing a play to perform at the wedding of Theseus and Hippolyta. Their comical antics add to the chaos and confusion in the forest.
