The movie starts with Naruto and his team being assigned to guard the shrine maiden, Shion, who is the only one capable of sealing a powerful demon named Moryo. Shion is initially ungrateful and hostile towards Naruto, but eventually warms up to him. During their journey to the shrine where Moryo is to be sealed, they are attacked by various demon minions of Moryo.
However, Shion's predictions of death start to come true, and Naruto finds himself in grave danger. Despite his fear, Naruto decides to confront Shion and break her curse, but she remains adamant about her predictions. As they reach the shrine, Moryo is released from his seal and begins to wreak havoc.
In a desperate attempt to save the world, Naruto and Shion team up to defeat Moryo. Naruto's unwavering determination and endless optimism finally break the curse on Shion, and together they manage to use her sealing powers to finally defeat Moryo.
The movie ends with Naruto and the team, along with Shion, returning to their village. Shion tears up as she bids goodbye to Naruto, finally realizing the error of her ways and the true strength of his spirit.
