The movie Naked Gun 33â…“: The Final Insult is the third installment of the popular Naked Gun series. Frank Drebin, played by Leslie Nielsen, is brought out of retirement to go undercover in a state prison to find out what Rocco, the top terrorist played by Fred Ward, has planned for when he escapes.
While Frank is trying to solve the case, he is also dealing with his wife Jane's, played by Priscilla Presley, desperate desire to have a baby. This adds to Frank's problems and causes him to become distracted from his mission.
Throughout the movie, there are a host of celebrity appearances at the Academy Awards ceremony which is being held at the same time as Rocco's planned escape. Frank blunders his way through the ceremony, trying to foil Rocco's plans as he unwittingly humiliates the celebrities.
The movie is full of slapstick humor and parodies of popular movies and TV shows, like The Untouchables, Basic Instinct, and The Crying Game. It's a hilarious and ridiculous ride that fans of the series have come to love.
