Nailed is a 2006 comedy-drama film directed by Gabriela Tagliavini and starring Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Catherine Keener. The film revolves around Alice Eckle (Biel), a waitress who accidentally gets a nail lodged in her head during a construction accident. The nail causes her to have unpredictable and uncontrollable behavior, which leads her to lose her job, her boyfriend, and her apartment.

Alice's plight catches the attention of a young senator (Gyllenhaal) who sees it as a perfect opportunity to gain political points by advocating for her healthcare coverage. At the same time, Alice's boyfriend, played by James Marsden, is a mechanic who runs a roadside garage with his mother (Keener). Their business is threatened by a nearby construction site, which sends multiple trucks in and out of the area, causing significant damage to the vehicles passing by.

After discovering that metal scraps from the trucks are causing tires to flatten, the mother-son duo hatches a plan to make money by scattering the scraps on the road and charging for tire replacements. As they continue to profit from the construction site's blunder, Alice's healthcare issue becomes a national news story, and the senator uses her situation to advance his own career.

As the story progresses, the characters' lives become increasingly intertwined, leading to moments of drama, humor, and unexpected romance. Eventually, Alice's nail gets removed, and her life returns to normal. The film ends with a touching scene where the senator and Alice meet one last time, and he confesses his feelings for her.
