Sam is a successful photographer who is hired to take pictures of the luxurious Blissful Cove Spa in Southern California. She is excited to bring her best friend Cassie along to enjoy the spa and all of its amenities. However, their relaxing weekend is abruptly interrupted when a guest at the spa is found dead in her room. As a previous amateur sleuth, Sam can't help but try to solve the mystery.
The police are immediately called to the scene, and Sam starts to investigate the circumstances surrounding the victim's death. Her intuition tells her that something fishy is going on at the spa, and the more she digs, the more she discovers.
Sam soon uncovers a scam where the spa's doctor, Dr. Markowitz, was conducting tests of unapproved drugs and procedures on the spa's guests without their informed consent. This included the use of inexpensive filler implants and other dangerous procedures.
As Sam continues to work with the police, she begins to realize that the victim was not the only person being targeted by Dr. Markowitz's unethical practices. She believes that other guests at the spa may be in danger. With her observations and evidence gathering, she races against time to gather the proof needed to put an end to Dr. Markowitz's illegal and dangerous activities.
In the end, Sam's quick thinking and resourcefulness help to solve the case and bring the doctor to justice. As for Cassie, she ends up having a much different spa experience than she had anticipated.
