In "Mystery 101: Killer Timing," English professor Amy Winslow (played by Jill Wagner) and detective Travis Burke (played by Kristoffer Polaha) are thrust into a dangerous case when an escaped serial killer comes to town. The killer, known as the Carnation Killer, had terrorized Seattle years ago before being caught and sent to prison. But now he's escaped, and he seems to have set his sights on a new victim: Travis.
As Amy and Travis investigate the case, they uncover a series of clues that hint at a connection between the Carnation Killer and a local crime boss named Max. Desperate to find the killer before he strikes again, Amy and Travis team up with Travis's FBI agent ex-girlfriend, who has been assigned to the case. Together, the three must race against time to unravel the mystery and catch the killer before he can claim his next victim.
Throughout the movie, tensions run high as Amy and Travis navigate their complicated relationship while also trying to solve the case. Meanwhile, the killer's taunting messages and near-misses keep everyone on edge, adding to the suspense and danger. Ultimately, the team must use all their wits and resources to outsmart the killer and save Travis's life.
