Riley, a 17-year-old student, transfers to a new high school where her father, Chris, is an English teacher. She struggles to make friends but eventually befriends a shy and introverted girl named Kyla. Kyla becomes obsessed with Chris, and her crush soon turns into a dangerous and manipulative obsession.
