Drama,Romance  India

My Name Is Khan is a 2010 Bollywood drama film directed by Karan Johar. It stars Shah Rukh Khan as Rizwan Khan, a Muslim man with Asperger's syndrome who lives in Mumbai. He falls in love with Mandira, a Hindu single mother played by Kajol. Despite their cultural differences and the opposition of some of their families, they get married and move to San Francisco to raise Mandira's son, Sameer.

The movie takes place against the backdrop of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States, which leads to a rise in Islamophobia and racial profiling. Rizwan, who feels compelled to tell the truth always, decides to meet the President of the United States to clear his name and show that not all Muslims are terrorists. He embarks on a journey across America with his message of peace, along the way meeting people who challenge his worldview.

Rizwan's journey is not an easy one, as he faces discrimination, violence, and even incarceration because of his appearance and the way he speaks. His wife and son face their own struggles as well, as Mandira is subjected to hate crimes and Sameer is bullied at school. Rizwan's faith in humanity is put to the test as he confronts these challenges, but he never gives up on his quest for acceptance and understanding.

My Name Is Khan is a heartwarming and thought-provoking movie that addresses some of the most pressing issues of our time, including prejudice and discrimination, mental health, and the importance of empathy and compassion. It features strong performances by Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, as well as a beautiful soundtrack that includes songs by some of the biggest names in Bollywood music.
