Sunset Shimmer is a former villain who has now become the Princess of Friendship in the alternate world of Equestria. She is a student at Canterlot High School and is best friends with the Mane 6, a group of girls who represent the elements of harmony.
In the beginning of the movie, Sunset Shimmer finds out that her friends no longer remember her. The Mane 6 have no memory of their friendship with Sunset and are acting as if they had just met her.
Determined to find out what has caused the memory loss, Sunset goes on a quest to solve the mystery. However, she soon realizes that the problem is bigger than she initially thought.
With no other option, Sunset reaches out to Princess Twilight for help. Twilight, who is now a princess in Equestria, agrees to help Sunset and travels through the portal to the human world.
Together, the two princesses embark on a journey to uncover the source of the memory loss and restore the friendship that was lost. Along the way, they encounter new characters, solve puzzles, and face their greatest fears.
Through their adventures, Sunset and Twilight learn the true meaning of friendship and discover that even the strongest bonds can be broken without trust and honesty. In the end, they succeed in restoring the memories of the Mane 6 and set things right in the alternate world of Equestria.
