Jennifer and Vince are both struggling financially and find themselves in need of money to pay off their debts. They come up with a plan to stage a fake engagement and wedding in order to receive gifts from their friends and families.
As they begin to plan their fake wedding, they must navigate through the difficulties of pretending to be a couple and dealing with the pressures of their families to make their relationship real. Along the way, they start to develop real feelings for each other and their fake relationship becomes complicated.
