My Dead Dad is a heartwarming drama about a young man named Alex who is struggling to find his place in life. After dropping out of college and bouncing from job to job, Alex discovers that his estranged father has passed away and has left him the responsibility of managing an apartment complex that he owned.
At first, Alex wants nothing to do with the apartment complex and considers selling it as soon as possible. However, he soon realizes that he's in over his head and that the only way to make things work is to step up and take responsibility.
As Alex starts to manage the apartment complex, he meets a diverse group of tenants who become like family to him. Each of them has their own story to tell, and through them, Alex discovers more about the father he never knew.
The film explores themes of family, responsibility, and growing up. Alex starts out as a young burnout who is resistant to change, but over the course of the movie, he grows into a mature and responsible individual who is able to connect with others and find meaning in his life.
My Dead Dad stars up-and-coming actor Ryan O'Nan as Alex and features an ensemble cast of talented actors who bring the diverse tenants to life. The movie is directed by award-winning director Anthony Grippa, who previously directed the critically acclaimed film Happy New Year.
