As Sean watches his best friend, Joel, rise to fame and success, he can't help but feel left behind. Joel becomes close with the egocentric male star of the show, Jake, who begins to influence Joel in negative ways, causing tensions between the two friends.
Meanwhile, Sean struggles to find his own path in Los Angeles, facing rejection after rejection in auditions and feeling like a failure compared to Joel. He begins to question his talent and worth, leading to a downward spiral of self-doubt and jealousy.
As the rift between Sean and Joel grows wider, Sean must confront his own insecurities and come to terms with the fact that his friend's success does not diminish his own value. In a final showdown with Jake, Sean must stand up for himself and prove that true friendship and integrity are more important than fame and fortune.
