Music Within is a 2007 biographical drama film directed by Steven Sawalich and starring Ron Livingston, Melissa George, and Michael Sheen. The film is based on the true story of Richard Pimentel (played by Livingston), an American motivational speaker and disability rights advocate who was instrumental in the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Born with a severe stutter, Richard dreams of becoming a public speaker. When he meets his idol, Jack Lucas (played by Sheen), he is devastated to learn that Lucas thinks he's not cut out for the job. Believing that he has no other options, Richard decides to enlist in the Army and go to Vietnam.

While serving in Vietnam, Richard experiences a bomb explosion that causes him to lose most of his hearing. After being discharged from the Army, he returns home and becomes depressed. But when he meets Art Honeyman (played by George), who has cerebral palsy, and Mike Stoltz (played by Yul Vazquez), an alcoholic war veteran, his life takes a new direction.

Together, the three friends form an unlikely bond and discover a shared passion for advocating for people with disabilities. Richard becomes a gifted motivational speaker, using his own experiences to inspire others to overcome their disabilities and live their best lives. With Art's help, he launches a program to train employers on how to work with people with disabilities, and with Mike's help, he successfully lobbies Congress to pass the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Music Within is a heartwarming and inspiring film that highlights the importance of inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities. It received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, who praised its performances, direction, and message of hope and empowerment.
