In Murder Mystery, Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler), a New York City police officer, takes his wife Audrey (Jennifer Aniston) on a long-overdue European vacation to rekindle their relationship. While on the flight to Europe, Audrey reads a mystery novel and expresses her desire to experience a high-society lifestyle.
Upon arrival in Europe, they meet billionaire Malcolm Quince (Terence Stamp) who invites them to a party on his yacht. During the night, Malcolm is murdered, and Nick and Audrey become the prime suspects. As they try to clear their name and find the real killer, they weave through a web of twists and turns, encountering a line-up of quirky characters in the process.
The film is directed by Kyle Newacheck and also stars Luke Evans, Gemma Arterton, and Dany Boon. It premiered on Netflix in 2019 and was a commercial success.
