In Murder 101: If Wishes Were Horses, Dr. Jonathan Maxwell, a retired English professor turned amateur sleuth, is called in to investigate the kidnapping of a prize racehorse named Pebbles. The horse belongs to wealthy businessman and philanthropist Richard Jennings, who is also the main suspect in the case.
