The plot of the movie revolves around Farid Singh Brar, who loves his homeland - the Faridkot village in Punjab. He spends most of his time farming and hanging out with his best friend Maddi. However, his mother wants him to move to Canada, which frustrates Farid. He prays at a dargah (a Muslim shrine) to grant him one wish: to somehow let him remain in Faridkot.
The next morning, Farid wakes up to find his wish has been granted - but with a twist. He has been transported to a village called Faridkot in Pakistan! The confusion created by this sudden change creates the comedy in the film.
Farid meets a local girl named Nadia, played by Sharan Kaur, who is struggling to run her father's school due to financial difficulties. Farid decides to help her out, and in the process, they fall in love.
