Mr. Troop Mom is a 2009 comedy film directed by William Dear. The movie tells the story of Eddie Serrano, a public defender who is always working and never has time for his daughter, Naomi. One day, he promises Naomi that he will be present at her forthcoming camp's talent show, but work calls him away again. To make it up to her, Eddie volunteers as the "Team Mom" for Naomi's summer camp's cheerleading squad.
The problem is Eddie knows little to nothing about cheerleading. The Killer Bees are a misfit group made up of girls who couldn't make the other cheerleading squads at the camp. Led by the bossy and uppity Tess, the girls will have to overcome all odds to compete against the other better-trained teams.
During the course of the movie, Eddie learns to be a good parent and team supporter, helping the girls to work together and end up with a winning performance in the cheerleading competition. He also bonds with his daughter and learns a lot about himself in the process.
