Mr. Peabody & Sherman is an animated family comedy film released in 2014. The movie is based on the characters from the 1960s animated TV series The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.
The plot of the movie revolves around Mr. Peabody, an anthropomorphic dog who is also a genius inventor, scientist, and accomplished athlete. He adopts a human boy named Sherman and raises him as his own son. Sherman attends school like any other kid but often gets into trouble due to his lack of social skills. To overcome this, Mr. Peabody creates a time-traveling machine called the WABAC that can take them into different eras to learn history firsthand.
One day, Sherman gets into a fight with a classmate named Penny and bites her. Meanwhile, Sherman and Penny sneak into the WABAC and accidentally travel to the time of Leonardo da Vinci. When they return to the present, they find out that the machine has been stolen, and Ms. Grunion threatens to take Sherman away if they don't get it back.
Mr. Peabody and Sherman set out to find the thief and end up traveling through different historical events, such as the French Revolution, Ancient Egypt, and the Trojan War. However, their meddling in history causes unintended consequences, and they must fix their mistakes before it's too late.
