Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol is a 1962 animated television special produced by UPA Studios. The special is a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic story, A Christmas Carol, and features the popular character Mr. Magoo as the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge.
As the story goes, Mr. Magoo is a wealthy but miserable old man who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve. The Ghost of Christmas Present shows him how the people around him are struggling and suffering, and how he is contributing to their misery. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come warns him of the consequences of his selfish actions, including his own impending death.
Through these visits, Mr. Magoo gradually learns the true meaning of Christmas and how to be a better person. The special features several musical numbers, including original songs and classic carols, such as "The First Noel" and "Deck the Halls."
