Mr. Destiny is a 1990 American fantasy-comedy film directed by James Orr. The film stars Jim Belushi as Larry Burrows, a middle-aged man who is unhappy with the way his life turned out. He is married to his high school sweetheart (Linda Hamilton), who he loves but feels trapped with, and works at a manufacturing plant where his boss (Michael Caine) constantly belittles him.

One night, while drowning his sorrows at a local bar, Burrows meets a mysterious bartender (played by Michael Caine) who gives him a glimpse of what his life would have been like if he had hit the game-winning home run in the baseball game he missed as a child. In this alternate reality, Burrows is wealthy, successful, and married to a beautiful woman (Courteney Cox) who loves him unconditionally.

Excited by the possibilities of this new life, Burrows jumps at the chance to experience it. However, as he settles into his new life, he begins to discover that it is not as perfect as he thought it would be. He struggles to fit in at his new job, and his wife is not as happy as he thought she would be. He also begins to miss his old friends and feels a sense of guilt about leaving his old life behind.

As the film progresses, Burrows realizes that the grass is not always greener on the other side. He ultimately decides to return to his old life with a newfound appreciation for the life he has and a determination to make the best of it.

The film received mixed reviews upon its release but has since become a cult classic. It is known for its imaginative premise, charismatic lead performances, and the playful chemistry between Jim Belushi and Michael Caine.
