As he tries to rebuild his life, he comes up against a ruthless building superintendent who is determined to drive out the longtime residents of Mott Haven to make way for new gentrification projects.

Desperate to save his home and his community, Hal teams up with a struggling businessman and his son to take on the superintendent, who will stop at nothing to evict them. As tensions rise and violence erupts in the neighborhood, Hal and his allies must use all their skills and resourcefulness to fight back against the forces of gentrification and save their homes and their way of life.
