Motorvation follows the life of Earl, a small-town janitor who moonlights as a motivational speaker on the weekends. Earl has been delivering his inspiring and empowering speeches to the people of his town for years, but he has never truly felt like he was making a difference.
One day, Earl has a personal revelation that shakes him to the core. He realizes that he has been living his life according to societal expectations and that the messages he has been preaching are not truly helping people. In fact, he begins to see that his messages are only serving to create more stress and anxiety in the town.
Determined to make a change, Earl starts 'un-motivating' the town. He begins by tearing down the motivational posters he has put up around town, replacing them with signs that encourage people to relax, take a break, and just be themselves. Soon, Earl's unconventional methods start to catch on, and the people of the town begin to feel more relaxed and less stressed.
As Earl continues to shake things up, he finds himself at odds with the local government and the more conventional members of the community. But he remains steadfast in his beliefs and his mission to help people lead more peaceful and fulfilling lives.
