Moscow Zero is a 2006 horror film directed by Maria Lidon. The film revolves around the character of Owen, who is a priest living in Moscow. He hires a team of guides to help him navigate the city's underground tunnels to find his friend Sergei, who has gone missing while investigating rumors of demons and a gateway to hell beneath Moscow.
Owen's team of guides includes Sasha, a former soldier, and Yuri, an experienced local explorer. As they descend into the dark and dangerous underground world, they encounter various challenges in the form of trap-filled passageways, deadly creatures, and supernatural phenomena.
As Owen and his team journey deeper into the labyrinthine tunnels, they uncover clues that suggest that the legend of hell beneath Moscow might be true. Finally, they discover the entrance to an underground cavern that leads to what appears to be the gates of hell itself.
The film features a talented cast, including Vincent Gallo as Owen, Oksana Akinshina as Sasha, and Val Kilmer as Sergei. Though not a critical success, Moscow Zero is a visually stunning and atmospheric horror film that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
