Billie Blessings (played by Holly Robinson Peete) is a talented chef and restaurateur who also hosts a popular morning show cooking segment. But her life takes a dark turn when one of the network executives, Graydon Jennings (played by David Lewis), dies from poisoning during a meeting with Billie about her show.
The police quickly focus on Billie as their prime suspect, and the media frenzy that follows threatens to ruin her reputation and career. Billie knows she is innocent, but the evidence against her begins to mount up, including a poisoned slice of pizza and a syringe found in her garbage can.
With the help of her friend and fellow chef, Ian (played by Colin Lawrence), and her ex-boyfriend and lawyer, Steve (played by Rick Fox), Billie sets out to clear her name and find out who really killed Graydon. Along the way, she discovers a web of rivalries and secrets among the network executives, any of whom could have had a motive for murder.
