More Dead than Alive is a Western movie released in 1969, directed by Robert Sparr and starring Clint Walker, Vincent Price, and Anne Francis. The story centers around Cain, a notorious killer who has just been released from prison after serving an 18-year sentence for multiple murders. Cain now wants to settle down as a rancher and leave his past behind, but he finds that his reputation still precedes him and nobody is willing to hire him.

Amidst his struggles to start a new life, Cain is approached by Ruffalo, a traveling showman who wants to hire him to perform as "Killer Cain" in his shooting show. Despite his reservations, Cain agrees to the job, as it seems like his only option for making a living. However, he soon realizes that his shooting skills have deteriorated after 18 years without practice, and even Ruffalo's young assistant Billy is a better shooter than him.

As Cain grows increasingly frustrated with his inability to perform, he begins to reflect on the path that landed him in prison and the people he has hurt along the way. He starts to question whether he can truly leave his past behind and start afresh. Meanwhile, some of Cain's old enemies begin to surface, seeking revenge for past grievances.

The movie explores themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the consequences of violence. It features some intense gunfight scenes, as well as moments of quiet contemplation as Cain struggles to come to terms with his past and find a way forward. Despite its violent elements, More Dead than Alive ultimately delivers a message of hope and the possibility of starting over. Overall, the movie is a classic Western drama that will keep audiences engaged from beginning to end.
