In Moose Hunters, Mickey tasks Goofy and Donald with finding a moose to provide food for their cold winter. The duo put on a moose outfit and venture into the woods, hoping to attract a real moose. Eventually, they stumble upon a real moose and elicit an excited response from it.
Goofy and Donald lead the moose out of the woods and toward Mickey's campsite. However, things start to go wrong when the moose's antlers get caught in a tree branch. The moose becomes agitated and starts thrashing around, knocking over trees and creating chaos in the forest.
As they try to untangle the moose from the tree, the hunters begin to realize that they may have bitten off more than they can chew. The moose breaks free and starts running through the campsite, causing even more destruction.
In the end, Mickey manages to capture the moose and they all enjoy a well-deserved feast. Goofy and Donald, bruised and battered, have learned to be careful what they wish for and that sometimes the hunt is not worth the risk.
