Moonfleet is a thrilling adventure film that is based on the novel by the same name by J. Meade Falkner. The story takes place in the 18th century, and it follows the life of John Mohune, a young orphan who goes to stay with his mother's old friend, Jeremy Fox, in the small village of Moonfleet.

As John becomes more involved in Fox's world, he also comes to understand the dangers and risks of smuggling and piracy. He develops a deep friendship with an adult smuggler, Elzevir Block, who becomes a father figure to him.

As the story unfolds, John finds himself in the middle of thrilling adventures, including secret tunnels, hidden treasures, and daring escapes from the King's men who are pursuing the smugglers.
