As Jimmy's last day progresses, he starts to reminisce about his life, reflecting on his successes and failures, the relationships he's had, and the impact he's made on those around him. He meets with the obituary writer, sharing stories and memories that he wants included in his final tribute.
When his death doula arrives, Jimmy is initially resistant to the idea of someone helping him through the process of dying, but ultimately finds comfort in their presence and support. He also reaches out to his estranged brother, hoping to make amends and mend their relationship before it's too late.
Throughout the day, Jimmy's caretaker remains by his side, offering physical and emotional support as he navigates this difficult time. As the surreal being visits him, Jimmy is confronted with his deepest fears and regrets, forcing him to confront the choices he's made and the impact they've had on his life.
Finally, the day culminates in Jimmy's FUN-eral, a celebration of his life filled with laughter, tears, and memories shared by all who knew and loved him. Through it all, Jimmy learns that death is not the end, but a continuation of the journey he's been on all along - the art of living is truly the art of dying.
