Montana Moon is a 1930 musical comedy film directed by Malcolm St. Clair. The film features Joan Crawford as Joan, a free-spirited flapper who falls for a cowboy named Larry (played by Johnny Mack Brown) and marries him on a whim. However, after moving to Larry's ranch in Montana, Joan quickly learns that life in the west is far more challenging than she anticipated.
Joan's carefree lifestyle clashes with the traditional values of Larry and his family, and she struggles to adjust to her new surroundings. She also finds herself torn between two suitors, Larry and his rival, the wealthy and sophisticated Belknap (played by Ricardo Cortez).
As Joan becomes more accustomed to life in the west, she begins to appreciate the values and traditions of her new family and falls in love with Larry. However, a misunderstanding between the couple threatens to tear them apart.
Montana Moon features numerous musical numbers, including the memorable song "That Wonderful Something," performed by Crawford. The film was successful at the box office and helped establish Crawford as a leading lady in Hollywood.
