Monday is a romantic drama film directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos. The movie follows the story of two Americans named Mickey (Sebastian Stan) and Chloe (Denise Gough). Both characters are self-destructive and living in Athens but do not know each other until they meet at a party.
Mickey is a DJ who is living in Greece to pursue his music career while also engaging in various sexual encounters with different women. Chloe is a lawyer who has recently ended her engagement and is enjoying a carefree lifestyle in Greece.
After the night of the party, Mickey and Chloe have a one-night stand, after which Chloe decides to leave for a business trip to the island of Evia. Mickey, who is smitten with her, decides to follow her there. They then begin a tumultuous relationship filled with passionate love and frequent fights.
Throughout the film, viewers get a glimpse of their pasts and how it has contributed to their present state. Despite their differences and self-destructive tendencies, they are drawn towards each other like a magnet and struggle to maintain their relationship as they face one obstacle after another.
