Drama,Romance  India

Mohabbatein is a romantic drama movie that was released in 2000. The movie is directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra. Mohabbatein features an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Jimmy Shergill, Shamita Shetty, and Kim Sharma.

The movie revolves around Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan), a strict disciplinarian and the headmaster of Gurukul, an all-boys boarding school. He firmly believes that love has no place in Gurukul, as it can distract the young minds from their studies and disrupt the discipline of the school. However, six of his students, Vicky (Uday Chopra), Sameer (Jugal Hansraj), Karan (Jimmy Shergill), Jugal (Shamita Shetty), Sanjana (Kim Sharma), and Kiran (Preeti Jhangiani), fall in love with six girls from a nearby girls' school.

Narayan Shankar is outraged when he learns about his students' love affairs and decides to expel them from the school. The lovers feel helpless and believe that their relationships are doomed. However, a new music teacher, Raj Aryan Malhotra (Shah Rukh Khan), comes to the school and encourages the students to pursue their dreams and follow their hearts.

Raj Aryan tries to convince Narayan Shankar that love is not a weakness but a strength that can empower the young minds. However, Narayan Shankar remains rigid and sticks to his belief that love has no place in Gurukul. The climax of the movie sees a confrontation between Narayan Shankar and Raj Aryan, where Narayan Shankar must decide whether to uphold his principles or embrace change and allow love to flourish in Gurukul.

Mohabbatein was a commercial success and received positive reviews from critics. The movie's songs, composed by Jatin-Lalit, were also a hit and are still popular today. Mohabbatein is considered a classic romantic movie and is often cited as one of Shah Rukh Khan's best performances.
