Miss Arizona is a heartwarming and empowering comedy that follows Rose Raynes, a former beauty pageant queen who has fallen from grace and hit rock bottom. After losing her husband and child, and facing financial ruin, Rose seeks solace at a women's shelter.
There, she meets four women who are all facing their own struggles: Jamie, a pregnant teenager who ran away from home; Darla, a single mother of four who is recovering from addiction; Melinda, a shy and timid woman who has been a victim of domestic abuse; and Ashley, a transgender woman who is fighting for her rights.
Despite their differences, Rose and her new friends bond over their shared experiences and decide to embark on an all-night adventure through the desert. Along the way, they encounter a series of unexpected and hilarious obstacles, including a hot air balloon ride gone wrong, a run-in with a group of bikers, and a squabble with a group of frat boys.
Through it all, Rose realizes that true friendship and self-discovery are more important than any beauty pageant crown or material possessions. The film explores themes of resilience, sisterhood, and personal growth, and features a diverse and talented cast of actors.
