Miracle in Cell No. 7 is a 2019 Turkish drama film directed by Mehmet Ada Öztekin. The film revolves around Memo, a loving father with an intellectual disability, who lives happily with his young daughter Ova. One day, he is falsely accused of a crime he did not commit and is imprisoned. Memo is forced to leave his daughter behind and endure life in jail, where he faces constant abuse and mistreatment from other inmates and prison guards.
Despite being innocent, Memo is sentenced to death row. While in prison, Memo is determined to bring his daughter to be with him. However, things take a turn for the worse when the daughter is diagnosed with a rare medical condition. Memo is now in a race against time to prove his innocence and reunite with his daughter before it's too late.
With the help of his fellow inmates, Memo manages to obtain crucial evidence that exonerates him of the crime. He is eventually released from prison, and his daughter is successfully treated for her illness. The film ends on a heartwarming note as Memo reunites with his daughter, and they walk out of the prison gates towards a brighter future together.
