In the post-apocalyptic future, the world has become a desolate wasteland where people live underground to escape the deadly effects of exposure to the sun. Life above ground is controlled by a powerful computer system known as the "System," which monitors people's thoughts and memories, and punishes those who break its strict rules.
Judy (Marta Alicia) is a young woman who dreams of escaping from the underground world and discovering what lies beyond the System's control. She discovers a way to enter a virtual reality program called "The Elysium," where she can experience the beauty of nature and connect with other humans.
However, her virtual reality world is soon invaded by mutants known as "crawlers," who are grotesque, violent beings that have mutated from the effects of radiation. They have been sent by the System to hunt down and punish any humans who defy its control.
Judy teams up with a rebellious underground fighter named Stover (Bruce Campbell), who has been living on the surface for years and has numerous battle scars to prove it. Together, they must fight the crawlers and find a way to shut down the System, before it destroys all of humanity.
As they navigate through the dangerous and mysterious world above ground, Judy and Stover uncover shocking secrets about the origins of the System and the true nature of the mutants. They realize that the future of humanity depends on their ability to break free from the mind control of the System and embrace their own individuality.
