Mindscape follows John, a "memory detective" who can enter people's minds and relive their memories to help them solve problems and overcome trauma, as he takes on the case of Anna, a teenage girl who is suspected of being a sociopath after a series of troubling incidents.
John is initially hesitant to take on the case as he is dealing with his own traumatic memories, but he is persuaded by his boss to help Anna. As he delves into her memories, John discovers that Anna has a troubled past, having witnessed her mother's suicide and being subjected to emotional and physical abuse by her stepfather.
However, as John uncovers more about Anna's past, he begins to question whether she is really a victim or if she is manipulating him to get what she wants. As the line between reality and fiction becomes increasingly blurred, John must determine the truth of Anna's situation before it's too late.
The movie stars Mark Strong as John and Taissa Farmiga as Anna, and was directed by Jorge Dorado. It was released in 2013 and has been praised for its suspenseful plot and strong performances from the cast.
