Comedy,Crime,Adventure  United States of America

Midnight Run is a 1988 crime comedy film directed by Martin Brest and starring Robert De Niro, Charles Grodin, and Yaphet Kotto. De Niro plays Jack Walsh, a down-on-his-luck bounty hunter who is hired to track down Jonathan "The Duke" Mardukas (Grodin), a former accountant for the mob who embezzled $15 million and then jumped bail.

As Walsh begins his search for Mardukas, he finds himself pursued not only by the FBI, who want Mardukas as a witness in a federal case, but also by the mobsters who want their money back. In addition, another bounty hunter Earl (played by Kotto) is hired by the bail bondsman to track down Walsh and Mardukas before the FBI does.

The film is a classic road movie, with Walsh and Mardukas traveling across the country by car, train, and plane as they try to stay one step ahead of their pursuers. Along the way, they encounter a series of mishaps and misadventures that test their patience and their ability to work together.

Despite their initial animosity, Walsh and Mardukas gradually form a bond as they share their personal stories and begin to understand each other better. They eventually reach a mutual understanding and respect as they both come to realize the true value of money and friendship.

The film was a critical and commercial success, earning praise for its sharp writing, strong performances, and deft balance of comedy and drama. It has since become a beloved classic of the buddy comedy genre and a favorite of fans of both De Niro and Grodin.
