Mid90s is a coming-of-age film directed by Jonah Hill. The movie follows the story of Stevie, a 13-year-old boy who is trying to find a place to belong. He is constantly overlooked by his mother and abused by his older brother, who is also his primary role model. Seeking solace, Stevie begins to spend time at a local skate shop. At the shop, he is taken under the wing of a group of older skateboarders, who introduce him to a world of independence and rebellion. Stevie finally feels like he belongs somewhere, and he becomes deeply immersed in the subculture of skateboarding. Along the way, he faces both physical and emotional challenges, but he ultimately learns valuable lessons about friendship, loyalty, and growing up.
