Mi fido di te

Comedy  Italy

Mi fido di te is an Italian buddy-comedy film directed by Massimo Venier that was released in 2007. The film follows the story of two men, namely Nicola and Giorgio, who lose their jobs in Milan at the same time due to the economic downturn. Nicola (played by Fabio De Luigi) is a well-educated but poor man who struggles to make ends meet, while Giorgio (played by Diego Abatantuono) is a suave and sophisticated advertising executive who suddenly finds himself out of work.

Desperate for money, Nicola turns to his old friend, a petty thief named Laura (played by Miriam Leone), for help. Impressed by his cunning and resourcefulness, Laura convinces Nicola to partner with Giorgio, who is initially reluctant but eventually agrees to join the duo.

Together, the unlikely trio becomes a funny and clumsy team of thieves, pulling off heists in broad daylight and using a variety of hilarious disguises to avoid the police. Along the way, they encounter numerous comical mishaps, including getting stuck in an elevator, accidentally setting off an alarm, and running into their former employer.

Despite their seemingly insurmountable differences, Nicola, Giorgio, and Laura eventually become close friends and learn to rely on each other in a way they never thought possible. The film ultimately highlights the importance of trust, loyalty, and friendship, and is a heartwarming and entertaining tale of unlikely heroes.
