Mexican Moon is a crime thriller film that follows the story of a Vietnam veteran named Ollie (played by Scott Glenn) who lives in a small Texas border town. Ollie has been working at a local garage for years, but when the drug cartels start to put pressure on the town, the garage is forced to close down, leaving Ollie jobless and struggling to make ends meet.
One day, while out on a hunting trip, Ollie stumbles upon a false grave where the cartel had buried around $100,000 in cash. With no job and money running low, Ollie decides to take the money and use it to turn his life around.
However, things quickly take a dangerous turn when the cartel realizes that their money has been stolen. They start to hunt down Ollie, putting his life and the lives of those around him in danger. Ollie is forced to team up with a young woman named Angie (played by Esai Morales) in order to outsmart the cartel and escape with the money.
As they race against the clock, Ollie and Angie must navigate the treacherous world of organized crime and double-crossing, all while trying to stay alive and keep the money out of the cartel's hands.
