Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem is a one-hour special episode of the animated series Metalocalypse. The special picks up where the season 4 finale left off, with the band's rhythm guitarist, Toki Wartooth, being kidnapped by the evil record executive Magnus Hammersmith and the Metal Masked Assassin.
The remaining members of Dethklok - Nathan Explosion, Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Pickles, and William Murderface - are struggling to deal with Toki's absence and their guilt over not rescuing him. Meanwhile, their fans are becoming increasingly restless, with some even resorting to violent rioting.
As the band tries to carry on with their lives, they are plagued by nightmares and visions of Toki in distress. It becomes clear to them that they must rescue Toki if they want to regain their musical inspiration and save their band from falling apart.
The Doomstar Requiem features a mixture of comedy and drama, as well as intense action sequences and epic musical performances. It also includes appearances from a number of celebrity guest stars, such as Jack Black, George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, and Mark Hamill.
The special serves as a fitting conclusion to the Metalocalypse series, bringing closure to the storylines of the beloved characters and showcasing the band's musical talents one last time.
