Metal Lords is a coming-of-age comedy film that follows the journey of two teenage misfits, Hunter and Kevin, played by Jaeden Martell and Isis Hainsworth, respectively. The two teenagers are determined to achieve rockstar status by forming their own metal band and participating in the Battle of the Bands competition. Along the way, they recruit a somewhat reluctant drummer named Lily, played by Adrian Greensmith.

As they navigate through the ups and downs of high school life, the trio must also navigate the challenges of making music together and creating their own unique sound. Despite many obstacles, including a rival band that seems to have it all, Hunter and Kevin remain focused on their ultimate goal of winning the Battle of the Bands and becoming metal gods.

The film is directed by Peter Sollett, whose previous work includes the critically acclaimed indie film "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist." It also features a soundtrack of original music by composer Mark Mothersbaugh and includes appearances by real-life metal musicians such as Jaxon Argos, Pustulus Maximus, and Darren Paltrowitz.

Metal Lords is a fun and relatable comedy that explores the struggles of adolescence and the power of music to bring people together. It is set to premiere on Netflix in 2022.
