In Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh, stepbrothers Drake Parker and Josh Nichols find themselves in trouble after their Christmas party causes damage to a neighbor's property. As punishment, a judge orders them to give a foster family the best Christmas ever, or face time in jail.
The boys reluctantly agree and set out to make the foster family's Christmas unforgettable. However, things don't go as smoothly as they planned. They struggle to find the perfect Christmas tree, and once they do, they accidentally set it on fire. They also have trouble getting along with the foster family's strict house mother, Mrs. Newman.
To make matters worse, their rival, a tech-savvy millionaire named Cee Lo Crayton, launches an elaborate plan to steal Christmas from the foster family, leaving Drake and Josh to save the day.
Throughout their adventure, Drake and Josh learn the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of family. With the help of their friends and some holiday magic, they finally succeed in giving the foster family the best Christmas ever, and avoid spending Christmas in jail.
