Nick Gunar is a Vietnam War veteran who has been struggling to find his place in the world since returning home. He is haunted by his past experiences and finds solace in alcohol and drugs. When he is approached by the Nitro Mine Corporation with a job opportunity, he initially refuses. However, when he realizes that this job could help him reunite with his estranged family, he agrees to take it.
Nick puts together a team of former mercenaries to help him carry out the job. The team includes a former Marine, a demolitions expert, and a sniper. When they arrive on the island, they find that the locals are fiercely protective of their land and resources. Nick begins to question the morality of the job and decides to help the locals defend their home.
As the conflict between the corporation and the islanders intensifies, Nick and his team must choose sides.
