After his encounter with the alien, Officer James Edwards, played by Will Smith, is recruited by Agent K, played by Tommy Lee Jones, to join the Men in Black (MIB), a top-secret organization that monitors and polices alien activity on Earth. As Agent J, he is trained by Agent K and quickly learns the ins and outs of working for MIB.
But their first mission together is no ordinary task. A dangerous intergalactic terrorist, named Edgar the Bug, has arrived on Earth with a mission to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies. If successful, this could lead to an all-out war between the two galaxies.
Throughout their mission, Agents J and K encounter a range of alien species living on Earth, including the tiny but mighty "worm guys" and the shape-shifting "bug aliens" like Edgar. With their advanced technology and secret weapons, the MIB seems to be the only hope for saving the planet from destruction.
As the agents work to track down Edgar, they also uncover a mole within the MIB, leading them to question who they can trust. In a race against time, Agents J and K must stop Edgar before he completes his mission and prevent an intergalactic war from erupting.
